What is illumiNations?

Today, there are more than 1 billion people with little to no access to Scripture. Over 3,600 people groups do not have a bible in their heart language. And more than 2,000 of those groups do not have a single verse of Scripture in a language they best understand. 

IllumiNations is a collective impact alliance of the 11 leading Bible translations agencies and their global partners working together to end Bible Poverty.

IllumiNations isn’t an organization, it’s a movement. It’s one of the very few examples of organizations coming together and setting aside their agendas, to collectively finish the task of getting the Word of God to those who do not have it. Independently, it would’ve taken the agencies until at least 2150 to get Scripture to all people, but because of the unified determination of these agencies, they are now on track to finish by 2033! We live in a moment where we can actually envision finishing the task of seeing Scripture translated into every language, for every person, on planet Earth.
